Performing Arts
Our Performing Arts classes are a firm favourite amongst our students and one of our biggest departments starting at the young age of 3 years. It is simply perfect for those students who want to become a triple threat as the performing arts classes teach , dance, drama and singing. The class involves 3-hours of intense training in all the 3 disciplines working on a rotation basis..
- Dance – Focuses on a wide range of styles, lyrical, jazz, contemporary and street giving your little Hollywood PA star a wide variety of knowledge and technique . This class combines body conditioning, flexibility training, kicks, leaps, turns and choreography to help produce a well-rounded dancer.
- Drama - Is fantastic for building self-confidence and engaging your Hollywood PA students imagination. The class includes script work, improvisation, acting for the screen, devising plays and audition technique.
- Singing – Will help develop and improve your child's vocal technique and performance in a variety of genres including Musical Theatre, Classical and Pop Music. With this huge repertoire behind them, they will be well prepared for college or a professional audition environment.
Choir
The Choir is for children aged 8 – 18 years old and is open to young people of all ability levels... No audition is necessary! The group rehearse and perform songs, in harmony, from a range of musical genres, including Pop, Rock, Hip Hop, Urban, Gospel, World, Jazz and Musical Theatre. The sessions are low-cost and designed to be accessible, fast-paced, engaging and fun. They will give your child the opportunity to develop their confidence and skills, evolve as vocalists and have lots of fun through singing in a positive and collaborative environment.
Tap
Classes begin at the age of 3 years and continue till they have tapped their way to the stars. Our non-syllabus tap classes are a great way to learn tap with NO EXAMS allowing your child to be pushed to their real potential. Tap is an excellent addition to a dancers training and an important skill to become a versatile performer.
Ballet
Our non-syllabus Classical Ballet training begins at the age of 3 years old. Students are then introduced to Pointe work at the age of 12 years. Pointe work is completely optional and each student is assessed individually by their class teacher to ensure an appropriate level both technically and physically has been reached. The benefits of a non-syllabus Ballet training are that it enables us to excel students to their full potential and tailor lessons to fit the student’s individual needs. It allows for a more relaxed and fun environment for learning meaning your child will never be held back by the grading system, plus NO EXAMS! And no stress. Our Ballet teacher is trained in F.D.I, C.D.E and L.I.S.T.D, so can easily fuse all the best aspects of each grading system to make sure your Hollywood PA student comes away with fantastic training and strong technique in Classical Ballet. The class is taught to current and classical music allowing our Ballet classes to be more relatable and engaging to the new generation.
Street
Our non-syllabus Street Dance classes begin at 5 year olds. This high energy, fun packed and skilled class is everything you want for your little dancer. Focusing on different genres of Street Dance such as commercial, popping/locking, house, and hip-hop to name but a few. Making your little street dancer completely versatile in style.
